Congressman Keith Rothfus is up with his latest TV commercial.
The Sewickley Republican details his accomplishments concerning legislation to reform the VA.
In the thirty-second spot, three veterans justify their staunch support of Rep. Rothfus because of his handling of the outbreak of Legionnaires disease at the Pittsburgh VA hospital. The outbreak, which claimed the lives of 6 veterans, was ultimately found to be as a result of negligence in detecting and managing the outbreak.
“Six veterans died in Pittsburgh as a result of the Veterans Administration scandal. Those in charge received bonuses. Keith Rothfus passed a bipartisan amendment to stop VA senior executives from receiving bonuses,” declared the three veterans.
In a press release, Rothfus further stated, “We will continue to hold VA executives accountable for failing to provide our veterans with the treatment they earned after honorably serving our country…Our nation’s heroes deserve to receive quality treatment in a timely manner, and our government should never fail them again.”
Rothfus is facing Democratic Nominee Erin McClelland for the commonwealth’s Twelfth Congressional District which spans all of Beaver County, and parts of Allegheny, Cambria, Lawrence, Somerset, and Westmoreland Counties.

I would like to know how he has improved healthcare for veterans. Voting on a bill does nothing, but provide the funding for healthcare and they all do that. He has no affect on our healthcare as veterans, this video is no different than the officials who took bonuses. Using veterans for profit. This ad is nothing other than political ad to trick some poor sucker into voting for him. Despicable.

Rothfus votes against anything that helps the middle class–his record shows it. He is a panderer of immense proportions. He uses sensitive issues like being a cancer survivor and now using the veterans to try and mask the fact that he is a cold hearted unfit elected official. As a veteran I am ashamed of those veterans who think he is honorable—you’ve been fooled—just research his record and then you’ll see who he really is.
Lies from trolls are just that. Ask real veterans.

This would be the same Rothfus who voted AGAINST the Veterans Employment Act just this past February, right? And the one who voted to SHUT DOWN EVERY VA HOSPITAL just last October? And voted 52 times to repeal the law that would have extended Medicaid to 50,000 PA Veterans (if Corbett hadn’t blocked it)? THAT rothfus? That Sloth/putz never served his country for one day, and doesn’t give a good god d@mn about those who did.
The next time you see Tea Party Keith ask him how many veterans case workers he has on staff. The answer: zero. And the veteran’s community is well aware.
