Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has earned a strong following among progressive Democrats over the last few years and it has led many political pundits to speculate what prospective officials could be the party’s next liberal stars.
ABC News’ Abby Phillip tackled just that question today and one of the politicians she saw as a “Elizabeth Warren Democrat” was State Senator and PA-13 congressional candidate Daylin Leach.
“Washington is ossified and procrustean — old and rigid,” Leach told ABC News. “I do think we have lost the ability to solve big problems. What we do need is fresh ideas and people with a fresh approach. I’d like to think that if I’m in Washington in 30 years I’ll still be trying to come up with the solutions for the problems that we have.”
Phillip noted Leach’s support for legalizing marijuana but said that Warren Democrats all share the belief that our top priorities should be income inequality, Wall Street abuses and education access.
Other Democrats running in PA-13 include physician/activist Val Arkoosh, State Rep. Brendan Boyle, and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies.

“Warren wing” must be their new code word for marxist.
That notwithstanding, I’d be very inclined not support anybody who intends to be in Washington for 30 years without getting anything done.

Daylin- I’d like to think that after 30 years you’d have solved the problems that we have today, and be working on solving new problems: like getting our robot overlords to reduce the work week to 75 hours.
Tell it, Brother Daylin! When Warren is President Warren, we will have a voice at the table.
