PA-13: Arkoosh Endorsed by Philadelphia Tribune

Democratic congressional candidate and physician Val Arkoosh won the support of the Philadelphia Tribune today.

The Tribune, the longest continually running African-American newspaper, announced their full slate of endorsements this morning.

Among the races for U.S. Congress, the paper is backing Arkoosh as well as incumbent Congressmen Chaka Fattah and Bob Brady. They also endorsed Tom Wolf for Governor despite accusations by Rob McCord that Wolf failed a leadership test by not condemning Charles Robertson.

The Tribune published a profile of Arkoosh last Thursday.

Arkoosh has had quite a successful week so far. Yesterday, she secured the support of AFSCME District Council 47. She’ll hope that her hot streak continues tonight when the candidates meet for their final debate at Upper Moreland High School.

Other Democratic candidates in PA-13 include State Rep. Brendan Boyle, State Sen. Daylin Leach and former Congresswoman Marjorie Margolies.

  1. Honestly, with all the supporters of Boyle, Margolies, and Leach yelling at each other (I literally have dueling robocalls on my voicemail), Val is going to slip through and win this thing.

  2. What a big week for Arkoosh. AFSCME yesterday; Tribune today. She might end up winning this thing.

Now, where is the Inquirer endorsement in this race? Undoubtedly, they too will formally back Arkoosh (What, with Daylin’s lewd internet history, MMM’s past husband criminal convictions/charity self-help and Boyles pro-life award.)
