Another day, another endorsement. It’s been quite a busy week in the Democratic race to replace Allyson Schwartz in Pennsylvania’s 13 district.

In the last week alone, Marjorie Margolies was endorsed by State Sen. LeAnna Washington, State Sen. Daylin Leach earned the backing of nurse’s union PASNAP, and State Rep. Brendan Boyle received the support of the Boilermakers union.

Today Margolies has scored another endorsement from the district’s delegation in Harrisburg: state Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Montco).

Dean represents PA’s 153rd District which covers parts of Abington and Upper Dublin. She won her seat in a 2011 special election to replace Josh Shapiro.

“My endorsement of Marjorie Margolies does not come just from me as a legislator; it also comes from me as a teacher, a parent, a concerned citizen, and lifelong resident of the 13th Congressional District. I have followed Marjorie’s career for many years and I am inspired by her,” she said.

“In the few short weeks on the campaign trail, Madeleine has been an invaluable guide as I reintroduce myself to the voters of the 13th Congressional District,” Margolies said.
