First-time candidate Dan LaVallee announced the support of two prominent local labor unions.

Last week, LaVallee received the backing of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #12.

“The Sheet Metal Workers Local #12 is proud to support and endorse Dan LaVallee for the Third Congressional District to represent and fight for working class people and our values,” stated Dave Bernett, the union’s Business Manager.

“For decades, the Sheet Metal Workers Local #12 has created and protected good, family-wage paying jobs for Western Pennsylvanians,” said Dan LaVallee.  “I am proud to have their endorsement as we seek to put families back to work and bring new leadership to Pennsylvania’s Third District.”

Additionally, the Democratic candidate in PA-3 won the endorsement of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #9 on Wednesday.

“Dan is someone who understands working Americans,” said William Greer, the Executive Vice President of Local #9. “We need more people like him in Congress, people who will protect jobs, not ship them overseas. We are excited to endorse a candidate of his caliber to represent the people of Western Pennsylvania.”

“I am thrilled to receive the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers endorsement,” LaVallee said. “I’m proud to be endorsed and work with unions, such as the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, to protect and increase jobs in Pennsylvania and across the country.”

LaVallee is running in Pennsylvania’s 3rd district against Republican Congressman Mike Kelly.
