PA-5: Kerith Strano Taylor Releases “Zero Women” Ad (VIDEO)

Kerith Strano Taylor, the Democratic candidate from Pennsylvania’s 5th Congressional District, released her second ad today.

The thirty-second spot, titled “Zero Women”, explores the possibility that there could be zero women in Congress from Pennsylvania after the upcoming election.

Strano Taylor kicks off the ad saying, “Women’s issues are family issues, and family issues are Pennsylvania issues.”

A map with 18 male icons is shown, followed by a large 0 – the potential number of women in Congress from Pennsylvania after the midterms.

The ad then shows a number of recent newspaper headlines, including the porn email scandal, and the mismanagement of domestic violence in the NFL.

The ad concludes with Strano Taylor declaring, “I’m asking for your vote, not because I’m a woman, but because I understand the problems facing Pennsylvania families.”

  1. Actually, Taylor is a common-sense Democrat who could pass for a moderate Republican — if there were any of those creatures left in Pennsylvania. She is heavily outgerrymandered, so I don’t blame her for playing the gender card, but given Thompson’s pleasant but bland personality and inconspicuous three terms, she ought to win on the merits.

  2. This is the 21st century and having a penis is no longer a qualification for office. Go home old boys who think its perfectly OK for women who make up 51% of the population to hold only 17% of the seats in Harrisburg and NONE in our D.C. delegation. You’re drunk — with power.

  3. Elect me because I’m a girl, not because of my positions on the issues. Go home feminism, you’re drunk.
