PA-6: NRCC Compares Trivedi to Pelosi in Web Ad (VIDEO)

With the July 4th weekend behind us, the serious campaigning for the fall is just starting to begin.

That’s the case in Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District, where the National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) is launching their first web ads against Democratic nominee Manan Trivedi.

An inexpensive method to get a message out, web ads are a common tool in general election campaigns, especially during the early summer months.

The Republicans hope to harm Trivedi by associating him with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, whose been the GOP’s favorite villain for nearly a decade now.

The video, titled “Echo”, plays back-to-back similar statements by Pelosi and Trivedi expressing their preference for a single-payer health care system or a public option that would allow citizens to choose to opt into such a system.

“Perennial Congressional candidate Manan Trivedi is so out of touch with Pennsylvania families that he proudly supports Nancy Pelosi’s plan to expand ObamaCare by requiring all families to receive health insurance from the government” said NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior. “It’s no wonder why Trivedi lives in Washington when he’s not running for Congress – he fits right in with the D.C. bureaucrats that want to limit our health care choices.”

The race in PA-6 has attracted attention from both national parties and is expected to be one of the more competitive races in the fall. Trivedi is running against Chester County Commissioner and Republican nominee Ryan Costello in November.

  1. Just another old tired ad from the NRCC. Can’t they can more creative than this?As a doctor and veteran Manan’s first priority is taking care of the people who need it most. And since when does your employer’s HQ address in DC mean you actually work in DC when you are a consultant? He raises his family in Birdsboro. The NRCC is so behind the times.

  2. HOW IS MANNY RUNNING FOR CONGRESS IN PENNSYLVANIA WHEN HE LIVES AND WORKS IN WASHINGTON DC CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME
