PA-8: Major GOP PAC to Spend $1.18M Against Santarsiero

SantarsieroThe top Super PAC for Congressional Republicans is targeting Steve Santarsiero.

The Congressional Leadership Fund is set to spend $1.18 million in the 8th District this fall. This includes TV ad reservations for the Philly market starting on October 25th.

“We’re proud to support Republicans like Brian Fitzpatrick, who is running on providing conservative, solutions-based leadership in the House. From the airwaves to the ground game, Democrats will have no place to hide from their support of the failed Obama-Clinton agenda,” said Ruth Guerra, spokeswoman for Congressional Leadership Fund. “Voters need to look no further than the Iran deal ransom and Hillary’s email scandal to know they don’t want more dishonest Democrats in Congress.”

The CLF is planning to spend $10 million across 12 toss-up districts this year.

The 8th Congressional District represents all of Bucks County as well as parts of upper Montgomery County.

  1. Are you kidding, an “eminently competent” legislator – who has never actually passed any legislation and who racks up the per diems while campaigning around for higher office (what was it the highest total per diems for a State Rep in the region or state)? Oh I know perhaps it’s all the critical votes he misses.

  2. Yeah there’re gonna need every penny of that money to elect Mr.Invisible. Following in brothers footsteps he is sure a hard guy to find. Dodging debates, no comment on issues important to the eighth, no comment on Trump. Just what is his agenda? The eighth has an unprecedented chance to elect an eminently competent legislator or more of the same lack of leadership on the significant issues of the day.

  3. There’s few places to spend except where Democrats are fundraising. Maybe they’ll stop after a solid loss in a presidential year.

  4. Aww man, this was nice of them. I’m having so much fun hobnobbing with the west coast liberal elite that I want to thank the GOP for giving me another good reason to skip votes, get boo’ed on the floor for cowardice, and leave Pennsylvania either for Washington or San Fransisco.

  5. Santar-zero is pretty lucky with Trump. Anyone else at the top of the ticket and he’d be totally sunk against Fitz. Might still lose anyway.

  6. Porter-

I was thinking the same thing. The Trump train-wreck is hurting the GOP down-ballot.

  7. Race must be closer than they’d like in a high turnout year or they’d spend that money elsewhere.
