PA-8: Q2: Fitzpatrick Brings In $495,000 Haul

Brian-FitzpatrickThe fundraising battle in the PA-8 race is getting intense.

Yesterday, the Santarsiero campaign revealed that they have brought in about $500,000.

Now, PoliticsPA has learned from sources close to Fitzpatrick that the GOP nominee raised over $495,000. As of the moment, Fitzpatrick has almost $700,000 cash on hand. We don’t how much Santarsiero has at this time.

The two candidates had similar first quarter hauls as well, with Fitzpatrick raising $452,203 against Santarsiero’s $428,211. The Republican also had the COH upper hand, $413,377 to $301,000.

Their circumstances were quite different, though, as Santarsiero got in the race in January 2015 while Fitzpatrick didn’t declare until January 2016. On the other hand, the Democratic primary was much more contentious and competitive.

The 8th Congressional District represents all of Bucks County as well as parts of upper Montgomery County.

  2. Brian should be worried that he didn’t out-raise Santarsiero. I also wonder how much f Brian’s total was transferred from either the Bucks GOP or his brother’s account.

  3. Did the donations come from people who thought the candidate was still the incumbent Fitzgerald? How clever to be an incumbent’s brother.
