PA-8: Q3: Naughton Raises $283K, Has $441,000 COH

naughtonThrough two consecutive campaigns, Shaughnessy Naughton has posted quite a few fundraising reports. She has, however, never raised this much before.

Today her campaign reported that they brought in $283,324 from July 1st to September 30th. That represents about a $100K increase from last quarter.

She also has $441,552 cash on hand. Overall the campaign has raised $601,733 since it began, already more than Naughton’s entire 2014 total.

“This strong fundraising success along with more than 2,000 grassroots supporters for Shaughnessy clearly demonstrates that voters are excited about electing someone with her experience, as a scientist and a small business owner,” said Naughton campaign spokesman Erik Polyak. “Today we have sent a strong message about the size and strength of our campaign.”

Polyak also disclosed that over 2,200 contributors have given money so far this year and that the average individual donation is $120.

Naughton is running against State Rep. Steve Santarsiero in the Democratic primary. Incumbent GOP Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is retiring.

The 8th district consists of all of Bucks County and part of upper Montco.

  1. Both candidates should be pulling down more impressive totals here. The 8th is one of the few districts in the whole country that is actually competitive.

  2. Impressive numbers! Steve better get out soon while he can still run for reelection in his state house seat.

  3. Nick Field, I couldn’t help but notice that you didn’t put the same negative spin on this article that you put on the Fetterman fundraising article, who has only been at it for 2 weeks.

    Are you playing favorites?

  4. That’s what you’re going to get with EMILY’s List behind you. That’s a legit haul.
