State Representative and Democratic Congressional candidate Steve Santarsiero won another labor endorsement today.
The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Pennsylvania State Council announced that they are backing his campaign.
“Throughout his time in the General Assembly, Steve Santarsiero has been a champion of SEIU members and working families all over Pennsylvania,” said President of SEIU Healthcare PA Neal Bisno. “He’s stood with us in the fight for higher wages, more funding for schools, healthcare, and human services, and has shared a vision for a better commonwealth. Now, we will stand with him as he takes the fight to Congress.”
“I am proud and humbled to announce the support of SEIU — and the tens of thousands of Pennsylvania women and men they represent — for our campaign for Congress,” responded Steve Santarsiero. “As a former teacher and current State Representative, I’m committed to fighting to ensure that all students who dream of getting a higher education have the opportunity to realize that dream, that all workers are fairly compensated with a living wage, and that all seniors retire with the dignity and security they’ve earned and deserve.”
Santarsiero is running against Shaughnessy Naughton in the Democratic primary.
The 8th Congressional District represents all of Bucks County as well as parts of upper Montgomery County.

Sean, I’d watch dumb and dumber one more time.
He’s such a good looking dude. Just my opinion.
The SEIU has certainly helped me in the past when I was in the service industry. Not surprised their backing Santarsiero.
how embarrassed I’d be to receive an SEIU endorsement
