PA-9: Shuster Hires New Legislative Director

bill_shusterThere’s some staff turnover in Congressman Bill Shuster’s office.

Shuster’s long-time aide Sean Joyce is joining Rep. Patrick McHenry’s office as Chief of Staff. McHenry represents North Carolina’s 10th congressional district.

Joyce was Shuster’s Legislative Director and had previously served as Communications Director and Senior Legislative Assistant.

Dennis Wirtz will take over Joyce’s old position. He is a York County native who started working for Rep. Shuster in 2010 as a Staff Assistant.

A graduate of Messiah College, Wirtz has also worked for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the International Trade Administration.

“I’m proud of the work Sean has been able to do over the last six years, and I thank him for his commitment to serving the people of the 9th Congressional District,” Congressman Shuster stated. “I’d also like to welcome Dennis back to the office, and I look forward to him continuing Sean’s unrivaled work ethic and passion to help advance conservative policies that positively impact the lives of Central and Southwestern Pennsylvanians.”

  1. INTERESTING, I’m more concerned with whether you’ll ever learn to use the language properly than I am with whether you’ll be silenced. It is difficult to take someone seriously when they misspell names and mangle syntax.

  2. Interesting that Mchenry is listed as the Chief Deputy Whip on his website..(AKA REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP)….and if you google Mchenry he’s trying to get people to primary Mark Meadows…who MEADOWS- just so happened to be the member of congress who co-introduced the legislation to discharge speaker Bonner….who just retired on Friday!! Everyone on this site shud remembers Joyce’s long history of attacking candidates on the right…and challenging petitions to boot Tea Partiers..wouldn’t be surprised if Mchenry brought him on board to do the same. Establishment continueing to protect their own and kick out the TEa Party. we WONT BE SILENCED!!!

  3. Advancing conservative policies?

Bill Shuster hasn’t done that in years. The Heritage Foundation and almost every other conservative outfit in America say that he only votes conservative 50-60% of the time.
