PA Consultants Honored by Reed Awards

Voting-boothLast Friday was a big night for several Pennsylvania-based political consulting groups.

Campaigns & Elections magazine held their annual Reed Awards dinner and several firms from the Keystone State were honored.

Blueprint Interactive

The firm Blueprint Interactive won “Best Online Targeting” for their work for the PA chapter of Planned Parenthood.

The ad was an independent expenditure in support of the Tom Wolf gubernatorial campaign.

BrabenderCox

BrabenderCox had the best night, going home with six awards.

Among the victories was the award for “Most Original TV Advertisement” which went to their Halloween-themed spot for Gov. Corbett’s re-election campaign “Scary Movie 7”.

Two of their commercials for Highmark also won, with “Milk” winning “Best Newspaper Ad for Public Affairs or Issue Advocacy Campaign” and “Pickles” taking “Best Ad for Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Campaign – Statewide/Local”.

Additionally, Brabender won two awards (“Best Web Video for State Legislative Candidate” and “Best Ad for Republican State Legislative Candidate”) for the successful campaign of George Amedore for the New York State Senate.

Finally, their “Jack in the Box” commercial on behalf of Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire won “Best Web Video for Independent Expenditure”.

Cold Spark Media

Cold Spark Media produced the “Most Original or Innovative Collateral Item” with a pledge card for the PA GOP.

The firm also won “Best Yard Sign” for their work in freshman Rep. Alex Mooney’s (R-WV) race.

The Dover Group

Dover came away with the prize for “Best Mail Piece for Democratic Congressional Candidate” for their piece “Eat Last” in support of freshman Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA).

Red Maverick Media

Red Maverick Media came away with the most bittersweet honor of the night, “Best Ad That Never Saw the Light of Day” for a spot titled “Wolf: iHide”.

Finally, they also won for “Best Mail Piece for Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Campaign – Statewide or Local” with their “West Virginia: Rankings”.
