Murphy Avoiding Talk About Obama, Pelosi And Liberal Record

HARRISBURG– Republican Party of Pennsylvania Spokesman Mike Barley released the following statement regarding Congressman Patrick Murphy’s attempts to run away from his record as he launches his first television ad of the campaign season:
 
“If there were any doubts that Patrick Murphy was in big trouble this year, look no further than his first television advertisement attacking his opponent rather than explaining his own extreme liberal voting record in Washington, D.C.,” Barley said.  “When you look at the three crowning achievements of the left-wing Nancy Pelosi agenda, the stimulus, cap-and-trade energy tax and ObamaCare, Patrick Murphy was one of Pelosi’s biggest cheerleaders’ right there voting to implement each one of those extreme policies.
 
“Pennsylvanians living in the 8th Congressional District have watched as more and more of their hard-earned tax dollars are being flushed down the drain to expand the size of government as Patrick Murphy helps to implement the Nancy Pelosi agenda in an attempt to better one career – his!  The time to restore fiscal sanity to our federal government is now and the only way we can accomplish that is by retiring Patrick Murphy from the U.S. House of Representatives.”
