PA GOP: Rendell Admits Kanjorski Too Scared” To Vote On Tax Cuts

HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding Governor Ed Rendell’s admission that Democrats were “too scared” to vote on the tax cuts before the November elections.

“You know it’s a bad time to be Paul Kanjorski when even Ed Rendell admits that you’re ‘too scared’ to take a stand on a critical issue like the tax cuts before an election,” Gleason said. “The fact of the matter is that Paul Kanjorski is really ‘too scared’ of angering Nancy Pelosi, even if it means voting to go home rather than stopping the largest tax increase in American history.

“The people of the 11th Congressional District shouldn’t have to worry that their member of Congress is ‘too scared’ to go against the wishes of Nancy Pelosi. Seeing as how he votes with her more than 97% of the time, Paul Kanjorski is letting Nancy Pelosi, a San Francisco liberal, set the agenda for the 11th Congressional District. It’s time for the people of the 11th Congressional District to have a leader who will put their needs first – a leader like Lou Barletta!”

According to The Washington Post vote database, Rep. Paul Kanjorski has voted with Nancy Pelosi more than 97% of the time.

The Hill is reporting that, during an appearance on Bloomberg’s “Political Capital,” Governor Ed Rendell said that the Democrats were “too scared” to vote on the tax cuts until after the November elections.
