The 2018 Republican Gubernatorial primary looks like it’s going to be crowded.
According to Dave Davies of WHYY, businessman Paul Addis is considering jumping into the race.
Addis is a 63 year-old former energy executive. Unlike State Senator and future candidate Scott Wagner, however, Addis is not a Trump acolyte.
In fact, Davies reveals that Addis wrote a name in rather than vote for Trump.
The potential candidate prefers to be seen as problem solver than in an ideological context.
“It’s not just ‘no taxes’ or ‘more taxes’, or ‘more spending, less spending’, it means how to do things in an innovative, new way, how to fix problems,” he stated.
Former Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley won our reader poll of the possible 2018 GOP field earlier this month.

Not a Trumpite? At least he has that going for him.
“Smarmy garbage man” v. Paul Addis(who again)?
Scott is a shoe-in if this is the best the GOPe can generate.
Scott Wagner is not to be underestimated.
one trick pony
Didn’t support Trump, insulting the R base. No thanks, Paul. Get some free publicity for awhile then go away.
Someone better throw their name into the Senate race soon
I mean….if I was a GOP primary voter, I would choose this guy over Wagner any day.
Paul Addis is who again?
