PA-Gov: FiveThirtyEight Judges PA’s Polls Most Accurate

Wolf CorbettGood news politicos, we’re number 1 in polling!

At least that’s the findings of the good people over at FiveThirtyEight.

The polling forecasters tested the average of each state’s polls in every Senate and Governor’s race in the country against the actual results.

The poll average for Pennsylvania’s Governor’s race came to D+9.7. Wolf prevailed by 9.8 points. Meaning the PA polls had a bias of just R+0.1.

This was the best result of any statewide race and the closest any contest came to having no bias whatsoever.

FiveThirtyEight found a polling bias of less than a point in just four Gov races (Colorado, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and South Carolina) and two Senate elections (Michigan and Minnesota).
