PA-Gov: Hillary Clinton to Campaign for Tom Wolf

Hillary-ClintonHillary Clinton is coming back to the Keystone State.

According to Maggie Haberman of Politico (far and away the best source for all things Hillary), the former Secretary of State is coming to Philadelphia next week to campaign for Democratic nominee Tom Wolf.

“Clinton has several stops planned for Democratic gubernatorial hopefuls,” Haberman writes. “In addition to helping [New Hampshire Governor Maggie] Hassan, she will host her first public fundraiser next week in Philadelphia for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Tom Wolf, a “Women for Wolf” event, aides said.”

The piece details all the various Senate and Governor’s races that the presumptive 2016 presidential front-runner will visit this fall.

Clinton has long ties to Pennsylvania as her father was born in Scranton. She won the state’s 2008 presidential primary in a landslide over Barack Obama and her husband carried the commonwealth in 1992 and 1996.

The former New York Senator last visited Philadelphia this time last year when she accepted the Constitution Center’s annual Liberty Medal.

Suffice to say, the big surrogate phase of the campaign has begun and the Wolf campaign must be pleased with their opening salvo.

  1. Actually, it’s more proof that the race is over, because this is a total softball for Hillary. She gets to do a little campaigning in PA, and when Wolf wins, she can pretend she helped.

  2. Can she come to Stroudsburg as a Wolf surrogate to support women in Monroe and Northampton County get 40th State Senate candidate Mark Aurand and all our women House candidates elected? In the recent LWV Forum in Forks, Republican Scavello dodged an answer to his support to ban all abortion rights, and instead accused Pro-Choice women of being responsible for death threats against him (which weren’t death threats). See the video of the forum at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngxgKo0HmaY and a writeup on his fake death threat drama at http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/elections/index.ssf/2014/10/you_should_be_taken_out_back_a.html

We need Mark Aurand in the PA State Senate to help Tom Wolf turn around the 4 years of Corbett’s devastation.
