Gubernatorial candidate Katie McGinty’s latest 15 second ad highlights something new: her support of Obamacare.
In addition to discussing McGinty’s history of job creation, her desire to ban gifts for politicians, and her promise to restore Governor Tom Corbett’s education cuts, the ad shows the former DEP Secretary, like her competitor Allyson Schwartz, is not afraid to support the Affordable Care Act.
Always willing to juxtapose herself against the incumbent Corbett, McGinty’s support of Obamacare is in opposition to the Governor’s position on the issue, who has resisted the expansion of Medicaid and the federal law itself.
“She’ll take on Corbett to deliver for us,” the ad says proudly.
The short ad offers a simple and direct message as the primary inches closer.
Also running in the Democratic primary for governor is Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, State Treasurer Rob McCord, and former Department of Revenue Secretary Tom Wolf.

Bravo, Katie McGinty and Allyson Schwartz! For all its shortcomings, our nation is better off and has done the right thing with this small step toward sustainably caring for our weakest and most vulnerable.
Who is Katie McGinty? Is she running for something?
