Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie McGinty is up with another television ad today, this one focusing on her experience creating clean energy jobs.
The spot opens by alluding to McGinty’s work in the Clinton White House. Over photos from the early 1990’s, the ad notes that McGinty was recently endorsed by former Vice President Al Gore and was publicly praised by former President Bill Clinton last year.
The main focus of the ad, though, is McGinty’s work as Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection in the Rendell Administration.
“When I was Environment Secretary we were number one in clean energy jobs and cleaned up old factories to create even more jobs,” McGinty states while noting that the state’s position in this category has plummeted under Governor Corbett.
“With our natural resources, world-class workforce and universities we should be winning manufacturing and biotech jobs,” she asserted.
The candidate finished the ad with the slogan, “Opportunity: whether you wear steel-toed boots or a white lab coat.”
Other Democratic candidates running for Governor include former Department of Revenue Secretary Tom Wolf, Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, State Treasurer Rob McCord and former Auditor General Jack Wagner.
