PA-Gov: NFIB Endorses Corbett

Corbett PodiumGov. Corbett has won the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

The organization, which was founded in 1943 and has headquarters in all fifty states, represents about 15,000 PA businesses.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of the NFIB, which serves as the voice of over 15,000 businesses in Pennsylvania,” stated Governor Tom Corbett. “I am proud of the work my administration has done to keep taxes low in Pennsylvania, which has helped to create 180,000 new private sector jobs. I look forward to partnering with these job creators over the next four years to build an even stronger Pennsylvania.”

“The NFIB SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust believes Tom Corbett would be the best choice for small business and deserves reelection as governor,” the NFIB writes in their endorsement. “Corbett has been a friend of small business since day one. The state economy appears to be responding to Corbett’s tax and regulatory changes and the fiscal discipline he has brought to Harrisburg.”

The group also made clear they do not approve of fellow businessman Tom Wolf.

“Challenger Tom Wolf has been clear from day one: as governor he plans to raise the personal income tax (PIT) as well as a few others,” they wrote.

The NFIB identify themselves as a non-partisan association but have traditionally made most of their campaign contributions to Republicans.

  1. Larry you should be ashamed of yourself! The only one of the politicos around here who really gets it and you call him funny-outrageous!

  2. Replace the words “independent” with “corporate” and “small business” with “big business” and this endorsement makes a lot more sense.
