PA-Gov: Schwartz Ad Slams Wolf Business History (Watch)

Allyson Schwartz lands some solid punches in her latest ad attacking Tom Wolf.

“To hear Tom Wolf tell it, it’s a nice story but the truth? Yes, Tom Wolf ran his family’s business but to sell it, he forced it deep into debt. He walked away with 20 million for himself. The result? hundreds of employees lost their jobs,” an ominous voice reads over edited images from Wolf commercials. “It’s true, it’s how Tom Wolf did business and it can’t be trusted.”

“For experience we can trust: Allyson Schwartz,” the ad concludes.

schwartz ad re wolfIt’s a 30-second spot reminiscent of the ads we saw in 2012, questioning the ethics of Mitt Romney’s business decisions.

The Schwartz strategy at this point seems to be heavily focused in negatives on Tom Wolf. She even used her closing statement last night to hit Wolf on a different topic – his relationship with convicted lawmaker Steve Stetler, but the intent was the same: to raise questions about Wolf’s decision-making and personal ethics.

Wolf has consistently responded to these attacks by stating that they are merely the typical behavior of politicians who are down in the polls – and Schwartz is way down. The latest poll released yesterday from Muhlenberg showed Tom Wolf at 38% compared to Schwartz’s 13%.

State Treasurer Rob McCord and former DEP Secretary Katie McGinty are also running for the Democratic nomination.

  1. just a desperate attempt, which won’t work for Allyson, and will only serve to damage the Democratic nominee. Good going Allyson. Way to help the Democrats!!!
