Pa-Gov: Wagner Releases First Web Video

Wagner Campaign VideoState Senator, and Gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner (R-York) released his first web video of his campaign.

The 1:11 long video introduces Wagner and gives his take on his personal history.  He sets the narrative of the piece by putting his entire life story as a contrast to Governor Tom Wolf.

“Pennsylvania needs a Governor who is a visionary to see the future and build a team so that Pennsylvania can finally achieve more,” Wagner said at the end of the video.

The video is currently just a promoted video on Facebook according to campaign sources.

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party took the opportunity to push back on Wagner’s vision for Pennsylvania.

“[Wagner’s] out of touch policies will take us back to the days when Harrisburg slashed funding for our children’s education and destroyed services that protect and support our seniors,” Beth Melena, the Communications Director of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, said in an email.

Former Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley, Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman (R-Centre), Congressman Mike Kelly (R-Butler), Western Pennsylvania businessman Paul Mango, and House Majority Leader Dave Reed (R-Indiana) are also rumored to be considering runs for Governor.

  1. Who was it that referred to then candidate Wagner during the State Senate primary as a “smarmy garbage man”?

  2. If you can’t say “Pennsylvania,” with an “L,” then you should be able to be governor of the Commonwealth.

  3. It’s interesting that we’ve heard NOTHING from the other supposed candidates. It’s going to be difficult to defeat Wagner.
