Several hours after Katie McGinty spoke to the Democratic National Convention, Governor Tom Wolf took to the stage during the “Stronger Together: An Economy That Works For All” segment of Thursday night.
Wolf recounted his business background, running a cabinet manufacturing company with his cousins.
“One of the keys to our success was that we recognized in business you are only as good as the people you have in your company,” Wolf said.
Trump, on the other hand, “stiffed hundreds of small business,” Wolf said, while hitting Trump for calling pregnant employees an “inconvenience.”
Wolf explained how we worked to share profits with his workers, including one year in which the hundreds of employees at his company received an average of $5,000 each in bonus pay from profit sharing.
Hillary Clinton will encourage this practice by offering a tax credit to companies that share at least 50% of profits with their employees, Wolf said in Philadelphia.
“At this moment, we need to restore the fundamental American idea that if you work hard, you can get ahead and stay there,” Wolf said. “We need a President who recognizes that an economy that does not work for everyone doesn’t work at all. We need a President who believes that our society can only succeed when economic prosperity is shared broadly.”
The governor for the DNC’s host state finished with a straightforward endorsement for his party’s nominee.
“We need Hillary Clinton.” Wolf closed.

“So your only option is to create a cartoon, a cartoon alternative, then run against the cartoon. Cartoons are two-dimensional, they’re easy to absorb.”
I missed the part where the teacher’s union retirement fund bailed out his family’s failing company and then sold it back to him at a discount.
