Former Revenue Secretary Tom Wolf hired Eric Hagarty as his Deputy Campaign Manager in his quest for the Democratic nomination for governor.
Hagarty comes to Wolf after a series of Pittsburgh campaigns. The Washington State transplant has flourished in Pittsburgh. After raising oodles of cash for Fitzgerald’s 2011 campaign and assisting in the transition, Hagarty raised for Dermody and was Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto’s money man. As Fitzgerald is a mover and shaker in the region and the state, so is Hagarty.
He was also named to PoliticsPA’s 2012 Rising Stars list.
“Like Congressman Doyle, County Executive Fitzgerald, Mayor Peduto, and the host of other Democratic leaders from Western Pennsylvania that endorsed Tom this past weekend, I believe Tom will be a different kind of leader who will give Pennsylvania a fresh start,” Hagarty said.
This past weekend, U.S. Congressman Mike Doyle, Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto, Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and Allegheny County Democratic Chair Nancy Mills all endorsed Wolf’s campaign.
The big block of Western PA endorsements came on the heels of a series of polls showing Wolf besting his competition by wide margins, but to win the nomination, he will have to defeat State Treasurer Rob McCord, Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, former DEP Secretaries Katie McGinty and John Hanger, former Auditor General Jack Wagner and Lebanon County Commissioner Jo Ellen Litz.

Excellent choice by Wolf. He’s done outstanding work for the Western Pa. Democrats.
I prefer the black and white – deceptive enough to make me look 18 instead of 15. 🙂
Was that picture taken in ’73 or ’74?
