PA-Sen: Fetterman Airs Ad Highlighting Same-Sex Marriage (VIDEO)

Last night, John Fetterman’s Senate campaign released a new ad on cable TV across Pennsylvania. The one-minute spot focuses on the candidate’s record concerning same-sex marriage.

“I’ve been on record expressing my support for same-sex marriage for quite a while,” the candidate states. “If a couple as kind and nice as them aren’t allowed to be married, there is something fundamentally wrong.”

The commercial tells the story of how, in 2013, Braddock Mayor Fetterman defied DOMA and officiated the marriage of a same-sex couple.

“We were under legal threat from the governor’s office,” Fetterman said. “I never was concerned what performing any of these ceremonies would cost me personally.”

“There’s the wrong thing and then there’s the right thing and I’m always going to choose to do the right thing regardless of the consequences,” he concluded.

Fetterman is running against former Chief of Staff to Governor Wolf Katie McGinty and former Congressman Joe Sestak.

  1. c’mon, that’s why I support Fetterman… he doesn’t focus poll his views and puts them out there whether or not it costs him votes.

Got a Fetterman campaign email about “moving the needle rather than being moved by the needle” Love that…

On the other side, I received a polling call from someone that sounded like she was from the other side of the world that was obviously paid for by Sestak (asked “which candidate do you support… a) Joe Sestak b) some other candidate”) The poll asked at least 2 dozen position questions.

  2. So you want to introduce yourself to the voters of pa and you make your commercial about same sex marriage not sure this is the best way good luck mr fetterman
