PA-Sen: PA Builders Association Back Toomey

Pat-ToomeyRepublican Senator Pat Toomey was able to win over a business association today.

The Pennsylvania Builders Association is backing the incumbent.

“Senator Pat Toomey is a bipartisan leader in the Senate who supports policies which encourage growth and job creation in the housing industry,” said Daniel Durden, CEO of the Pennsylvania Builders Association. “With this in mind, the 6,000 members of the Pennsylvania Builders Association are proud to endorse Senator Toomey’s re-election effort and look forward to backing his candidacy all the way through November.”

“The Pennsylvania Builders Association works hard to ensure that quality housing opportunities are available in communities across Pennsylvania while also helping aspiring entrepreneurs get their start in the building industry,” Senator Toomey responded. “I look forward to continuing my great working relationship with PBA in support of common-sense legislation that grows our housing market and puts people back to work.”

Former Congressman Joe Sestak, former Chief of Staff to Gov. Wolf Katie McGinty and Braddock Mayor John Fetterman are running for the Democratic nomination in the April 26th primary.

  1. Surprise! A housing construction trade group endorses Toomey, as they want to be able to build wherever the heck they please and not have to worry about environmental and building regulations that keeps them from building Luxury condominiums over creeks, wetlands and other natural habitats. Anyone that has seen what has been happening to Chester County with the development of new subdivisions, condos and townhouses with no character over what was beautiful countryside, woods and natural landscape understands my frustration with these developers. Especially since it increase suburban sprawl, traffic and air pollution.

  2. this organization is a right wing goose stepping organization that if I remember is very questionable for anything…

  3. The PBA wants to build more McMansions, so it needs a nicely corrupt mortgage industry and Toomey can deliver.

  4. ?? I read the article twice to make sure I understood it. How does “labor union” sneak in here. Clearly not just a proofreading problem. Missed high schools civics and economics. Off the wall article

  5. That moment when PoliticsPA can’t tell the difference between a trade association and a labor union…

  6. Funny, DD.

    That’s $4,000,000,000.00 for the Builders !!

    Or is it $12,000,000,000.00 ??

  7. Do they think that Toomey will vote to build Trump’s wall (and they’ll get the contract)?
