PA-Sen: Sestak, Toomey Partner to Introduce Sestak to Every Voter

Toomey SestakWho says bipartisanship is dead?

On Wednesday Senator Pat Toomey and his staff offered travel advice to help prospective 2016 opponent Joe Sestak to continue his cross-state walk.

“I want Joe Sestak to have the full benefit of my knowledge of Pennsylvania’s thousands of miles of roads and paths,” Toomey said. “I hope every voter has the chance to interact with Joe Sestak in person. Just talk with him.”

“It was a wonderful surprise when Sen. Toomey reached out to help me,” Sestak said. “He told me it was vitally important that he make sure I stay out here walking every inch of these streets.”

Toomey’s staff recently finished a mapped walking route that exhaustively covers the state’s northern tier.

“I just want Joe to spend as much time as he can talking with people,” Toomey reiterated.

The Senator even volunteered to drive Sestak when needed, a show of bipartisanship that has already inspired voters.

“I saw Senator Toomey pick up this poor, haggard-looking man the other day,” said one woman. “It’s nice to see an elected official show some compassion. He definitely has my vote.”

The two even discussed an Appalachian hike they agreed Sestak should take.

“I can’t wait to have Joe up there in those wonderful mountains that represent the beauty of our great commonwealth,” the Senator said. “I’d love to join, but I have a fundraiser in Philly to get to.”

  1. It’s almost as if PoliticsPA were following up on a years long tradition of satirical and otherwise humorous posts on April Fools Day…

  2. Incase any of you can’t figure it out, it’s a fake news story…ahem…it’s April 1st. Shouldn’t that tell you something?

  3. Actually, Toomey’s best strategy is to donate money to Sestak to make sure he wins the primary.

  4. Are you kidding, do you think he would do that for you, no, he would destroy you any way he could.

  5. If Senator Toomey has a prior commitment, perhaps Mark Sanford could accompany Admiral* Sestak on his Appalachian Trail hike.

*If he likes walking around on land so much, why didn’t he join the Army?
