A busy day for Pence in PA.

Vice President Mike Pence is making the rounds today to boost the campaigns of multiple Pennsylvania Republican candidates, including Congressional candidates Reps. Lloyd Smucker (R-Lancaster), Scott Perry (R-York), GOP candidate for PA-8 John Chrin and gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner.

Pence’s first stop will be in Luzerne County to rally with Chrin and Wagner. According to the Times-Tribune, the rally starting at noon will feature “special guests” from around the state. Just yesterday, Eric Trump joined Chrin to make multiple stops in the district before rallying with supporters in Scranton.

In the afternoon, Pence will head to Lancaster County to campaign with Smucker and Perry. The event at Lancaster Airport is slated to begin at 2:00 pm.

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party believes Pence and the candidates he’s campaigning for are beholden to special interests.

“It makes all the sense in the world that Mike Pence would swoop in from Washington in a last-ditch effort to save these flagging campaigns,” said Brendan Welch, PA Democratic Party spokesperson. “He, Perry, Smucker and Chrin are all owned by Washington special interests that want to take away health care from Pennsylvanians with asthma, diabetes and cancer, and slash Social Security benefits that Pennsylvania’s working families rely on. These Washington Republicans are in for a rude awakening on November 6th because Pennsylvania voters know that Democrats will fight for the people, not special interests.”

The Pennsylvania Republican Party did not immediately respond for comment.

  1. They must be pretty nervous to have the Republican Vice President come down to Lancaster, of all places, to campaign.

  2. Media pictures of Eric Trump, Chrin and Scott Wagner of their campaigning for Chrin yesterday. Millions spent and Chrin and Wagner will go down to defeat with Wagner getting the bigger loss. I guess Pence is supposed to turn out the base but I wonder if Trump’s effect is seemingly limited to Trump how much effect do these visits really have upon turnout??? By the way, VP Pence be sure to do a rally for Fitzpatrick because this would be great for Wallace!

  3. Please mr.pence, help keith rothus in the 17th district, he is getting crushed by conor lamb.
