DanGilmanDan Gilman, the Democratic Councilman from District 8 in Pittsburgh was selected to join the NewDEAL, a national network that is committed to highlighting innovative ideas from state and local elected leaders who are pro-growth progressives.

Senator Mark Begich of Alaska and Maryland Governor (a possible 2016 presidential candidate) Martin O’Malley, the honorary co-chairs of NewDEAL, recognized Gillman’s pro-growth efforts to revitalize Pittsburgh.

“I am a lifelong progressive, and I passionately believe that growth and development are good for civil society. I’m looking forward to sharing ideas with my fellow NewDEAL Leaders and hearing about what’s working best in their communities that can help us achieve further progress here in Pittsburgh.”
