Pittsburgh Fire Fighters Local 1 Endorse Eagen for Commonwealth Court

todd-eagenThe Pittsburgh Fire Fighters Local 1 made an endorsement on Tuesday for Scranton attorney Todd Eagen in his campaign for the state’s Commonwealth Court.

“Pittsburgh’s firefighters dedicate themselves to the public good of our citizens every day,” President Ralph Sicuro said. “We understand the hard work that Todd Eagen has done for working families throughout his career. We are confident that he will continue to do so on the Commonwealth Court and we are proud to endorse him.”

After receiving the endorsement, the Lackawanna County Democrat said, “I am pleased and honored to have the endorsement of the Pittsburgh Fire Fighters Local 1. They put their lives on the line every day for the residents of Pittsburgh and are dedicated public servants.  I am proud to have the support and help.”

The announcement came just a day after Eagen was endorsed by the Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters on Monday. His list of supporters include Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, the Pennsylvania State Correctional Officers Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, State Lodge, the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, UFCW 1776 and many other local labor groups.

On the political side, Eagen has been endorsed by the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, the National Organization for Women, the Keystone Progress PAC and many county Democratic committees.
