Planned Parenthood Up with $100K Radio Buy in Philly

Planned Parenthood Action Fund is responding to the GOP ad blitz in Pa. with a new radio ad buy in the Philly area.

“He won’t say if he supports equal pay—that’s real money to us,” says a narrator of Mitt Romney. “And he says he wants to overturn Roe v. Wade and get rid of Planned Parenthood –I know women who go to them for health care and affordable birth control.”

“At the end of the day, I trust President Obama. He’s got a plan, and he’s on our side.”

Republicans are outspending Democrats more than 6 to 1 on TV in last week of the campaign in Pa., $11.8 million to $1.6 million. Plenty more GOP groups are on the radio airwaves, too.

So far this campaign cycle, Democrats have used Romney’s awkward posturing on social issues like abortion contraception to try and slow any momentum he gains with moderate voters.

“Women’s health is truly on the ballot this year and what we’re hearing from women across Pennsylvania is that they have serious concerns about Mitt Romney’s dangerous agenda to end safe and legal abortion and end funding for Planned Parenthood preventive health services,” said Sari Stevens, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates and PAC.
