Republican congressional candidate Dave Argall raised $125,000 in the first fundraising quarter, according to a campaign source, as he continues his quest to knock off Democrat incumbent Tim Holden in the 17th District.
The state senator from Schuylkill County has about $100,000 on hand, the source said.
Although when he entered the race in January most observers immediately looked ahead to a matchup with Holden, Argall does face thre primary foes: Lebanon County residents Allen Griffith and Frank Ryan and Harrisburg man Josh First.
Ryan, a retired marine, is considered Argall’s biggest obstacle for the nomination. He has about $34,000 on hand after raising nearly $70,000 in the year’s first three months, according to campaign finance reports.
UPDATE: The fundraising nubmers were confirmed in an e-mail to PoliticsPA from campaign Treasurer Jason Gherghel.
nice post
That’s it???? Lou Barletta has three times Argall, with $300K. Meehan raised $1.1 million, and Fitzpatrick raised $500,000. After the primary, Argall will have ZERO and Holden will be sitting on at least a half million if not more.
