Down in most statewide polls to primary challenger Joe Sestak, longtime Sen. Arlen Specter pulled out his potential trump card today in a new ad featuring President Obama supporting him at an event late last year.
The ad, which begins airing across the state today, contains key quotes from Obama, touting Specter’s Democratic votes since switching parties barely one year ago.
“Arlen Specter cast the deciding vote in favor of the Recovery Act that has helped pull us back from the brink,” Obama says. “You know he’s going to fight for you regardless of what the politics are.”
Then, the kicker.
“I love you and I love Arlen Specter.”

THAT’S his response? Seriously? The one everyone expected? That’s what hes pulling out as potentiality his final ad to put him over the top?
Yes Arlen, PA voters *KNOW* that the top of the democratic party supports you. That’s your PROBLEM!
