1. Stunner in Lancaster As Malone Defeats Parsons For 36th Senate Seat
“In a stunning outcome, Democrat James Andrew Malone defeated Republican Josh Parsons to win the 36th Senatorial District seat in Harrisburg.
President Donald Trump rolled to a +15 victory in the district back in November, but northern Lancaster County voters made a statement heard ’round the Keystone State on Tuesday.
The district has only had four representatives since 1983 – all Republican – Noah Wenger, Philip Price, Mike Brubaker and Ryan Aument. And the closest race since 2000 was a 23,000-vote victory for Brubaker in 2006.” (PoliticsPA)

“Dan Goughnour, captain of the detective unit for the McKeesport Police Department, has a new title tonight – State Representative.
The 39-year-old Democrat handily defeated Republican Charles ‘Chuck’ Davis, 63-35%, to keep the seat won by the late Matt Gergely firmly in blue hands and allows state Democrats to remain in the majority by a single seat in Harrisburg.
The Mon Valley 35th district is a largely Democrat region with a nearly 2-to-1 voter registration advantage. Gergely won the seat in a special election in 2023 by a 75-25% margin, and former Vice President Kamala Harris won the district by double digits last fall.” (PoliticsPA)

Dems shown in Lancaster if they communicate with voters and not talk down to them they can win. Trump is way out of line in the election decree. The law is clear it is a state matter and I have no doubt Gov Shapiro will stand up for PA and tell Trump he is wrong with his elections decree.
Wow!! Even Lancaster County voters are fed up with Trump MAGA bullshit.
