PoliticsPA Reader Poll: Holden Faces Toughest Primary

After over 1,000 votes, the results are in. PoliticsPA readers think the PA-17 race between Rep. Tim Holden and attorney Matt Cartwright is the toughest primary in the state.

In second place is the race between Rep. Tim Murphy and GOP challenger Evan Feinberg.

Here’s the final tally, of 1,055 votes.

  • PA-17: Tim Holden (D-Schuylkill) challenged by Matt Cartwright (45%)
  • PA-18: Tim Murphy (R-Allegheny) challenged by Evan Feinberg (37%)
  • PA-13. Allyson Schwartz (D-Montco) challenged by Nate Kleinman (12%)
  • PA-9. Bill Shuster (R-Blair) challenged by Travis Schooley (3%)
  • PA-14. Mike Doyle (D-Allegheny) challenged by Janis Brooks (3%)

  1. Tim Holden is not in my district, however, I know him and feel he has done a great job for his district.
    He is a constituent’s person and responds to the issues, which a lot of Congressman do not.
