Congressional candidate Manan Trivedi’s campaign rolled out a list of 33 endorsements from local committee members on Thursday, part of its recent aggressive effort to show its support in the 6^th Congressional District.

Trivedi, a physician and Iraq war veteran, now has the support of a 103 Democratic officials, according to his campaign.

“From the congressman to the committee person, from organized labor to the zone leader, no one has built a broader or larger infrastructure of support in this race,” Trivedi said in a statement. “It is clear that as the need for real change continues to grow, so too does the support for our campaign.”

He faces former Philadelphia Inquirer editorial writer Doug Pike in the district’s Democratic primary in what might be the most competitive, and at times heated, congressional primary in Pennsylvania. Each is fighting for the right to take on Republican U.S. Rep. Jim Gerlach, if he survives a primary challenge of his own from businessman Steve Welch.
