The latest Public Policy Polling survey brought good news for Rob McCord. After years of low name ID, he finally hit the 75% mark among his family members.
Pollster Tom Jensen attributed the boost to McCord’s in-laws, who saw the Pa. Treasurer on a PCN broadcast last week.
“Polls consistently have shown McCord with name ID in the 30’s, despite having run statewide twice in the past 5 years,” said Jenson. “The first step toward reversing that is to strengthen his base, which he appears to be doing.”
His job approval numbers are less positive: just 40% among his immediate family. Jensen said that resulted from McCord’s unpopular new ‘no video games after 10pm’ policy.
The same poll showed Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz with 92% name ID and a 85% favorability rating among the McCords.
