President of Pro-Life Group Endorses Rafferty for AG

john-raffertyJohn Rafferty won the endorsement of the Board President of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation today.

“I am writing today as President of the Board of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation to announce my support for John Rafferty for Attorney General,” Board President Susan Rogacs wrote in an open letter. “I have met John Rafferty and know him to be a man of integrity and someone who we can trust to serve our Commonwealth as the top law enforcement agent.”

Rogacs was persuaded to support State Sen. John Rafferty over his primary opponent State Rep. Todd Stephens because of their respective records on Planned Parenthood. She noted that Stephens received a 100% score from the group last year while Rafferty got a 0% score.

“The next Attorney General may well have to make important decisions to protect all life, including the life of the unborn,” Rogacs concluded. “I can only support a candidate who is pro-life and so I would urge you to join me in supporting Senator John Rafferty for Attorney General.”

Rafferty and Stephens are the only competitors in the GOP primary in next year’s race for Attorney General. On the Democratic side, prosecutor Jack Stollsteimer and Northampton County DA John Morganelli are running while Montgomery County Commissioner Josh Shapiro is also expected to enter the race.

  1. We don’t need a puppet of Planned Parenthood as Attorney General–especially when the abortion giant is the subject of five Congressional investigations into allegations of trafficking the body parts of aborted babies.

  2. A key factor here is that ultimately this race comes down to Zaborney vs Long, and that is a complete mismatch.

  3. John Rafferty is a corporate crony who engineered the Corbett “gas tax” benefitting highway contractors, vendors and affiliated unions. John Rafferty is the personification of the Pennsylvania Republican Establishment.

And John Refferty has less prosecutorial and managerial experience than Kathleen Kane.John Morganelli’s qualifications are dramatically and demonstrably better.

Pro-life Federation is a Republican crony.

  4. Marcel Groen is praying that Rafferty is the Repub candidate next fall. How sweet would it be for Groen to finally beat Rafferty, a major thorn in the side for Montco Dems for years, by running Montco’s own Josh Shapiro for AG? And as a bonus, he might finally get a competitive race with a non-incumbent in the 44th District.

  5. When you don’t have anything else to run on, surely you must run and hide behind social issues.

    This guy is a joke.

  6. Now I know who not to vote for in the General Election.

I may even vote for Kane over this guy. He’s probably anti-gay marriage too. And anti-immigrant.

  7. This will help him win the wingnut primary, and kill him in the general. Watch for the flip flop next fall!
