According to the latest PPP poll, Pennsylvania Republicans would rather see Rick Santorum run for Senate than President.

Santorum is the most popular person when PPP asked Pa. GOP residents who they would like to see challenge Sen. Casey, but, when you ask who they would want to challenge President Obama, Santorum comes in third.

The most popular person to take on President Obama is Michelle Bachmann. PPP says this matches their other polling nationwide.

Santorum gets 14% of the vote while Bachmann gets 24% of the vote in the presidential poll.

47% of Pa. Republicans polled said they would like to see Santorum challenge Senator Casey. There was a tie for 2nd place between Jake Corman (who has already ruled out a bid for Senate) and Rep. Tim Murphy at 9% each.
