Rasmussen Poll: Obama 51, Romney 39

Mitt Romney has lost ground tp Barack Obama to the tune of 7 points since July. That’s according to the latest poll from Rasmussen Reports.

Obama lead Romney 51 percent to 39 percent in a survey conducted on Sept. 19. Obama had just a 4 point margin when Rasmussen polled the state in late July, 48 percent to 44.

3 percent of voters favor another candidate in the race, such as Libertarian Gary Johnson or Jill Stein of the Green Party.

The Rasmussen results have bumped Obama’s polling average in Pa. to 9.5 points, according to Real Clear Politics.

That compares to a 1 point margin shown in a poll recently commissioned by the Pa. Republican Party and conducted earlier this week by Susquehanna Polling and Research. That survey showed the races at 48 percent Obama, 47 percent Romney.

Rasmussen surveyed 500 likely voters was conducted via automated polling methodology on September 19, 2012. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

  1. But… but the PA GOP’s poll said it was only a one point difference… I’m so confused. A partisan organization wouldn’t put out a poll with bad science, right?

  2. Wow. If Obama is ahead by 12 points in Rasmussen, he must really be ahead by 15.

(…. and they haven’t even had the October debates yet)
