Reader Poll: Do Debates Affect How You Vote?

Untold millions will watch Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump square off on Monday night for the first time.

Additionally, there’s been a bit of a dispute over how many debates Sen. Pat Toomey and Democratic challenger Katie McGinty will have.

Given the dozens if not hundreds of debates and forums that will occur across the commonwealth for every office imaginable over the next seven weeks, we thought now would be the perfect time to find out how our readers feel about them.

So, dear readers, are debates just politically theater or do they actually affect how you vote?

  1. These won’t, unless all POTUS candidates who are on enough ballots to achieve 270 Electoral College points are included. Because if Stein and Johnson – and everyone else who might achieve that milestone – are not included, I won’t bother watching. I already know what Trump and HR Clinton’s positions are on the issues. I can’t imagine that anyone in America (if not the world) does not.
