Senator Bob Casey is up for re-election in 2018.
Casey easily won the office in 2006 with 59% of the vote and was re-elected in 2012 with 54%.
For the first time in a generation, though, Pennsylvania is now a red state.
As a result, we decided now would be an appropriate time to test Senator Casey’s approval.
We last asked this question back in July 2015. Back then, 45% of readers approved while 55% disapproved.
So dear readers, what do you think?

Booby got to go!
If he supports sanctuary cities or campuses I’ll never vote for him again!
Run Bobby run far far away from Wolf and his pack. They will stab you in the back. Just ask the statewide guys. Did everything they could to screw all three. Stay away from party wolf plants
Are there any names floating around as possible challengers to Casey?
Take tour poll results with a big grain of salt In 2014 your poll had Corbett winning with 54% of the vote your polls usually skew GOP.
Joe Sheestak should challenge him.
Bob Casey is no worse than Tim Kaine. Both are products of the Jesuits. Do not be surprised if Casey slides into a 3rd term in 2018.
Can’t I just hand it off the THE KIDS? Except for Tiff, who I rarely mention and won’t let anywhere near my business.
Job Performance? You mean you actually have to do something after you get elected?
He will crumble like blue cheese if a strong primary candidate emerged.
I think that if a good GOP candidate is out against him, Casey will crumble. The democrats felt good with this guy always in office but this will change. If Corman or even Cawley get put against this guy he will need a new job.
Sen. Casey is as nice a guy as you’re gonna find. I think he is honest as well. He just isn’t all that productive, either in guiding national/international policy, or in representing Pennsylvania’s interests. Maybe he is good behind the scenes, but if voters don’t see that “man behind the curtain” by election time and if the GOP puts up a strong candidate, e.g. Corman if Walker jukes him out of the governorship, it could be curtains for Casey.
TRUMP, TOOMEY FOREVER. Casey is DONE.
Until this past election, PA Democrats were content with Casey, who said and did little if anything to upset their apple cart. In fact he said and did little, period. Good while it lasted.
With the 2016 election, it seems things have changed. The PA Democratic party has to make sure it has a strong candidate in 2018 to face the as-yet unknown Republican challenger.
All bets are off with the first couple years of a Trump presidency. But if the economy improves, PA Republicans, with support from the RNC, will likely see Casey as a great target of opportunity.
In your face, Losers!
A vote for Toomey WAS a vote for Trump. Watch and see whether Toomey ever votes against the Orange Leader. I’ll bet it never happens, no matter how outrageous the bill. And there will be plenty of outrages ahead.
Gloomy Toomey is allegedly a PA Senator, too. No difference, as they all are gonna do what I say when I say it, because I’m a great and strong leader with a big mind to make my fingers on those tiny little hands.
oh that’s right, each state has two senators… I forgot he is supposedly one of them.
Let’s see a strong primary challenger soon!
Sorry, I fell asleep upon seeing his photo. I’ll try again to vote.
