PoliticsPA readers, by a significant margin, aren’t interested in a bid for Governor from former Auditor General Jack Wagner.
308 readers (71%) didn’t think Wagner should run for the Democratic nomination for Governor next year, while 128 readers (29%) thought he should.
Jack Wagner ran for Governor once before, in 2010, but lost in the primary to Allegheny Co. Exec. Dan Onorato. He also fell short in a bid for Pittsburgh Mayor last month, losing to Councilman Bill Peduto.
Should he choose to run again next year, he would find himself in what is sure to be a crowded field for the Democratic nomination which so far includes Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, former Revenue Sec. Tom Wolf, former DEP Secs. John Hanger and Katie McGinty, and former pastor Max Myers.
Should Jack Wagner run for Governor?
- No. (72%)

I find it interesting that the polls show Jack beating Corbett by the largest margin.. Isn’t the name of the game to beat Corbett and get a better governor maybe Jack ruffled some feathers in his own party looking at things he was expected to ignore while serving as auditor gen??
