A majority of votes = 50% + 1… I believe the word you are looking for is “plurality.”
“Slight majority”? Eagen received 50% of the overall votes. The next top vote getter received 29%. Eagen received more votes than the other 5 candidates combined. That is far more than a “slight majority”.
