So far, much of the political buzz in Pa. has focused on the gubernatorial election, but what about the number two spot on the ticket?
Gov. Tom Corbett doesn’t face an imminent primary threat, but could Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley see a challenge next year?
Cawley, a former Bucks County Commissioner, cleared a 9-way primary as the endorsed candidate in 2010. He has said that he will seek re-nomination next year.
He’s unlikely to face a challenge from the GOP establishment, but maybe another well known Republican will give the race a look.

Jim who? He does what?
I’m a firm believer in rewarding a ‘job well done.’ Jim meest that criterion.
Jim should be the nominee. He’s taken the lead on several important initiatives and proved himself to be a strong and persuasive spokesman. I don’t recall a more effective Lt. Governor.
I would much rather see Jim at the top of the ticket perhaps partnering with Bruce Castor. That ticket would beat Alyson Schwartz pretty easily in my opinion.

Dumb and Dumber?
The Republicans don’t deserve to hold onto the majority in Harrisburg. They and the Democrats make up one party–and that is the big government party that is controlled by the unions. The opportunity to pass meaningful pension reform, get rid of prevailing wage laws, get rid of RCAP, make PA a right to work state–none of it done. I’m a Republican but there’s no way I’ll work for or support Tom Corbett or Lt. Gov. Cawley. If a Daryl Metcalfe runs or someone who has his priorities straight runs, I’d support that person 100%.

The LG-nominee will be chosen in conjunction with the G-nominee; pivotal will be whether [1]–an alternative “ticket” arises or, [2]–whether Corbett “retires” and creates a vacuum-at-the-top.
Cawley would make a better Governor than Corbett
