Reader Poll: How Many Times Should Oz, Fetterman Debate?

Fetterman and Oz

As the two campaigns try to work it out, we decided to ask you – the loyal readers of PoliticsPA – for your opinion on the subject.

How many times should Mehmet Oz and John Fetterman hold public debates?

Is the October 25 date the only time they should engage on the stage?

Should Fetterman concede to another date as well? Or more than one?

Is there a need for a debate for the open U.S. Senate seat at all?

Polls are open until 10 p.m. on Sunday night

  1. Feel like 2 is a good number. I don’t expect candidates to actually debate as opposed to just regurgitating their talking points, but with candidates more and more (Mastriano in particular being an extreme example of this obviously) turtling up within their own cocoons of friendly media or messaging themselves, it’s still good to get them on the stage together to answer a bit less rehearsed questions from the same person. 2 debates allows of a 2nd perspective.

  2. Debates are “Dog and Pony Shows”
where candidates are trotted out and the press and media “kick the tires.” I don’t see any value in gotcha moments which the desperate Oz will attempt. One debate is all the public needs.

    1. And we know, based Oz’ history, that every other word that comes out of his mouth is a Lie. Did you know he’s now pro-choice?
