Our readers aren’t exactly shedding tears for Rob McCord.
After the former State Treasurer stepped down and pleaded guilty on two charges of extortion, the question became what would the punishment be.
Too often public officials resign in disgrace and get off with what amounts to a censure.
So, we decided to ask whether McCord deserved to go to prison.
911 respondents supported sending the ex-State Treasurer to jail while 664 readers opposed such an action.
The full results are included below:

@Unsanctioned R, unapologetically liberal hacks who think that the ends justify the means.
Who are the 42%? Scary.
Your analysis misses the point. The headline should be that 42%, 664 readers, a dramatic number, do NOT think he should go to jail AT ALL. Of the 58% who said yes, who knows how many think just a day or few months is enough? Your poll question was poorly worded, but even with that lousy wording, the headline should be 4 of 10 believe NO JAIL TIME AT ALL….AT ALL!!! WOW!
