As Gov. Tom Wolf and the Pennsylvania legislature have reportedly reached a deal to move the state’s primary from April 28 to June 2, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, a majority of PoliticsPA readers voiced their support for delaying the primary.
56% of votes in the PoliticsPA poll said that Pennsylvania should delay its primary due to the coronavirus pandemic, while 44% voted to keep this year’s primary date as is.
Since the time that the poll was posted on last Tuesday, several states have officially moved their primary dates, including Connecticut and Rhode Island, who both moved their primaries from April 28 to June 2.
