Reader Poll: PA Society Should’ve Been Cancelled

Waldorf AstoriaPennsylvanians have never been the biggest fans of the Pennsylvania Society.

The annual weekend of parties in New York City hosts some of the Keystone State’s biggest power brokers.

In light of the seemingly never-ending budget stalemate, though, we decided to ask our readers if they thought the celebration should be cancelled. The results weren’t even close.

619 readers thought the attendees should have avoided the Big Apple.

Just 255 respondents supported the decision to continue the tradition.

The full results are included below:

  1. Nick. I don’t know if you set up this poll, but who cares what the participants think. Pa society is an organization who operates independently. Organizations who participate can choose to participate or not. Tax dollars aren’t spent there by public figures. And. You have seen a number of comments by people complaining about no budget and the fact it’s in NYC. You had about 5 statewide elected officials there. Who Cares what the people think. This year was a business to business pa society.

  2. But where would Ron Castille go to feel relevant again? Remember when he revealed that he wanted to be AG … right after he made negative public comments about Kane while he was still “Chief Justice” … and after he leaked grand jury material … and, of course, after he authorized the witch-hunt against Kane that led to the trumped-up charges now pending in MontCo.
